Brownfields and Greenfields Development

Within the context of Central Europe, Brownfields and Greenfields development can be utilized by a company entering the market and for whatever reason (lack of a suitable acquisition target or joint venture partner, available investment incentives, corporate culture) deciding to go it alone.  Brownfields refers to development in an existing facility (for example in an abandoned factory); Greenfields development means starting a facility from scratch.

V&Co can advise its clients in creating a new subsidiary or facility from start to finish, including with the following:

  • Initial feasibility study
  • Investigation into possible investment objectives
  • Financing [Credit & Finance]
  • Real estate acquisition or leasing
  • Creation of a subsidiary
  • Permitting and registration
  • Management and employment agreements
  • On-going corporate formalities [Corporate Counsel]
